Miriam & Joan having fun!

What a great time!  Hurricane Wilma may have delayed a good time but she didn't stop it!  4 days of blues in 70-80 degree weather in early February.  Good friends, good music, cold beer, and lots of good times!  That's what it's all about:>

The show was supposed to start in November but that was before Wilma was born, bred & blew across Florida.  The Dowtowner and the Record Exchange pulled together and with a lot of help and great artists and die hard blues fan actually pulled off one f*&king good time!

Push Play to Play.

Miriam & then NY Guy shows up at end.

The "Crossroads" river boat!

Great weather (for the most part)..

Detroit women of R & B.  A stageful of women that can sing and a band that can play.   Fun, fun. (pictured singing is Clark's favorite)

Albert Castigilia. He is excellent.  He played with a lot of different groups and he was in the audience at a bunch of performances.  Very cool.  His wife seems nice too.

Iko Iko.  Fun late night Friday.

Chris Beard jamming!  He was great!!

MMMMM......

We took a detour on the way to the show to check out Ft. Lauderdale

Sorry but I didn't get photos of all the artists.  A lot of these photos are of Miriam (my wife), our friends and scenes around the festival.  Hope you enjoy.

The Nighthawks with Rev. Billy C. Wirtz.  The Rev was hilarious.  The walkway or "listenway" as the case may be.

Riverboat Queen I presume!  This boat is a shuttle straight to New Orleans.  If you believe that, I've got a bridge that opens and closes I want to sell ya!

New York Guy and Daniel

Getting off/on the boat couldn't be easier.

Miriam Marcie & Andy @ late night jam Sunday.  We stayed FOR FREE at Andy & Marcie's.  They were great hosts and were 20 minutes from the event.  Thanks a bunch for a great time!

Sharrie Williams & Band.

In case you haven't noticed, we had a good time.

On a cold Sunday morning, Crazy Clark is getting a taste of the Deanna Bogart Band.  She isn't visible - my mistake (wrong angle).

Whew!  That was a close one.  In our little Downtowner Saloon boat.  See first pictures at top.

Lots of people crossing and going down spiral walkway to get back & forth.  Why don't they take the boat?!!?

Bridge opening.

(No sh*t sherlock!)

Marcie's Great Dane.  Very cool dog.  Way too big.  This one is 6 months old! Adorable What can you say?

Wonderful tree in front of pretty yellow house in Ft Lauderdale. Chris Beard getting down... literally.

Write me and tell me who this is. They were good but I don't know them.

Cute 18 year old with killer voice.

I don't usually stick around for the R&B but their band rocked and they were outstanding singers!

Our new friend Joan and a fellow blues fan in hat.

Say Cheese!

Lucky Peterson.  I was the lucky one cause I got to hear him!

Neat buildings...nice lady.

Miriam and that dancing new York guy!  Hey, New York guy, write me and let me know your name!

Sean Costello.  Really good.  Would have liked to have heard him with his whole band.  But, he jammed late nite on Sunday.  Sorry, if you missed that jam.  Whew!

Miriam on the phone at the Ft Lauderdale beach.

Daniel on the phone at the Ft. Lauderdale beach.

Ft Lauderdale inlet near where the old booze cruise was when I came during Spring Break 1983!  Crazy time.

Beautiful canals in neighborhoods with ridiculously large boats.

The locals must think us Northerners (North Carolinians that is) are crazy getting in the water in early Feb.   I loved it!

Getting ready for landfall.  Note beautiful tree in background.
