THE SALESMAN
He listens, waits then pounces. Eyes glowing with desire.
He tries to ignite a spark that he will fan into a fire. |
A handshake, a smile "don't rush - take your time"... but he waits all the while like green oozy slime. |
He speaks with great skill like the most practiced bard.
His words ease their worry and "yes oh yes" he says... "we take Visa & Mastercard." |
"No" is a word that he can not understand. He knows and believes always... that he can can can can! |
The wares that he sells may be big, small, or wide - but its the sale itself! that truly matters - he won't be denied. "You must have it" he insists "I know cause I'm on your side". |
For his words to perform one thing is a must The salesman's prey must believe... in him they must trust. |
Whether selling a widget, or a new fangled mop, Trust is always the Salesman's most powerful prop! |
To the close of the sale the Salesman is always leading his pitch may sound soft but he keeps the offer screaming...
"Take Hope now and don't wait! "The opportunity is fleeting !"
But word to the wise... prepare yourself mightily for the once monthly minimum due beating.
Dedicated to David Nance. He taught me most everything I did and didn't want to know about sales.
