Wheela Blues 2007 - Day 3!
This day was momentus.  Jason Ricci killed it.  The afterjam that went till 3 am was - BY FAR - the best afterjam I've ever been to.  Guitar Shorty, Magic Sam, Jason Ricci, Tommy Castro, and a ton of others - not to mention our buddy, David Gastel on keys!

We're back for more.  Behind the stage is a giant boat full of something...

There's a lot of musicians around but still, that kind of supply seems ridicuous. 

Kidding....that's a boat full of salt I'm told.

Cool picture of Bruce waiting in the wings.  (I tweaked it a little in Photoshop but that's pretty much how it looked at the time.)    As much as I like what he does, he is a little like "Death" over there because when he appears on the side, you know the end is nigh for the band on stage.

Lurrie Bell & Matthew Skoller.  Lurrie's father, Carrie, was going to appear with him but he passed away a few months before the show.  Matthew was great.  Matthew was so good that Magic Dick and Mark Hummel (who played the day before but hung around for Sundays music) came on stage and congratulated him.  I love this scene.

Our friends.  Kathleen and Jazs.  Kathleen had been camping in a terrible spot and she told us about it so we invited her to our spot where we were staying.  Worked out great and she made us a good breakfast too! Jason applauding the festival and Bruce.  At least I think that's what's going on.

We had never seen Tommy Castro.  He powered a thundering final set that fueled everyone for more!! Magic Dick shows up with Tommy Castro..

Then...you guessed it...Guitar Shorty (from Saturday's lineup) shows up too.  This just keeps getting better & better.  It was a party.   Tommy Castro knows how to have fun!!  Don't miss the afterjam.
