Birdhouses & Feeders by Marcos Martinez

Marcos & Irma in front of Yoshino Cherry,  March 2006.

This picture won't enlarge.  This is a cowbird and he makes some unusual sounds.  Makes one sound that is like water dropping.  Very cool sound.    Click to hear Sample
Marcos gave me this birdfeeder a couple of years ago.  Notice the bird waiting for me to leave so she can get a bite to eat.
PLEASE NOTE:  The linked sample is not exactly like the one I heard.  The one I heard made a very strong water sound then clicks.  (Our budget isn't big enough to include bird calls!)

My dad milled and dried the wood for these houses. The wood came from trees on our family's land.

The red trim is nice touch.

Ready for occupants!

2 Days after this one went up at Juanita's house (across the street from Marcos) the Blue Birds made a home out of it.  Quickest move-in I've seen!

Marcos gave me this one for my 41st birthday

Notice the edge trim.  Very nice.

Marcos likes to do original designs.

Miriam is painting the birdhouse her dad made for me. Beautiful day for painting!
She says she's doing a "wash".

Notice how she paints and then wipes off the paint to better reveal the beauty of  the wood paint combination!
Marcos sells these for between $20-45.  Let us know if you want to buy one.  He takes Paypal. Hung this one in a Poplar tree behind my house.  I asked Marcos to make it just like Juanitas so maybe I'll get quick occupants too!
Birdhouse finds a home behind mine! Gotta get some more wood over to Marcos so he'll keep going.  Way to go Marcos!
